An awesome place for a bivvy, on the rim of the Kawah Ijen crater. At this height you shouldn't be bothered by smoke from the sulphur mine below. In the morning you can enjoy stunning views over the acidic green lake and surrounding volcanoes, or maybe even a spectacular cloud inversion. During the winter it can be chilly at night, and during the wet season it really does rain. Keep an eye out for monkeys!
