Easily accessible site by track - or you can take the more adventurous 'direct' route through the forest.
The ledge is nice and flat, and overlooks a lovely little lake, which we think is part of a flooded slate quarry. It's listed as a bivvy-only site, the actual ledge can only be accessed with a rope & short traverse onto it from the track. The ledge is big enough for about 5-6 people to bivvy comfortably. It's quiet, and out of the way - but across the ledge, the track eases down to large rocks and this may be a popular stop for walkers during the summer.
