"I bought these because they were cost-effective, looked the deal, and the fact that these were 'ladies' gaiters kind of made them more appealing. To my disappointment though, being slightly taller than the average female, the 'one-size-fits-all' did not apply to me. The elastic is only halfway up my calves, and the material is not so tough. I managed to rip mine on its first day of use. The plastic loops can get slippery and loosen the bindings. However, the plastic zip and button on top help in keeping the gaiters in place, so the product is not completely hopeless. I'd recommend these for light walks and hikes, not really for mountains and stony areas, and definitely not for long-legged women."
